Night Music and Magic Flute - Mozart for children
A humorous sing-along and dance-along concert for people aged 5 and over
A varied foray through the most famous works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A musical story, introduced by a carriage ride like in Mozart's time. The first row of the audience as galloping horses, a few coachmen and all the other listeners as passengers who are being shaken around vigorously. Little Wolfgang and his sister Nannerl blindfolded at the imperial court. Children from the audience as conductors of the small orchestra. A very solemn dance to the minuet from Don Giovanni. And all together as a big “parrot choir”!
Originally planned as a one-off campaign, this production developed into our long-term bestseller. We played over 800 performances in 18 years and we still haven't lost the fun! We've already traveled all the way to Bozen in the south and Bremen in the north about Mozart. And in Austria we didn't "miss" many cities between Hard near Bregenz and Oberpullendorf in Burgenland and not many performance venues between the smallest elementary school and the Vienna Music Association.
Piece selection:
A Little Night Music – KV 525 (1st movement, 4th movement)
Minuet – KV 1
Sonata in A major – KV 331 (1st movement, 3rd movement)
Minuet from "Don Giovanni"
“Better come May and do it” (“Longing for Spring”) – KV 596
Bird catcher's entrance song from "The Magic Flute"
Cello: Nora Samandjiev
Guitar: Alfredo Garcia-Navas
Narrator: Marko Simsa
Entrance fees:
CHF 15.- for children
CHF 25.- for adults
Unnumbered seats
